Infrastructure and Transportation

Here we have gathered information that may be useful for you when traveling around our destination, whether by private car or public transportation.

Electric Vehicle Chargers

Electric vehicle chargers are available in the following locations:

  • Nedre Dalane, between Bunnpris and Sand village center
  • The local grocery store in Nesflaten
  • The local grocery stores in Suldalosen
  • Ryfylke Fjordhotell
  • Energihotellet

Gas Stations

In Sand, the municipality center, you can find three gas stations: XY Bergekrossen, Best Sand, and Shell Garaneset. There are also gas pumps connected to the local grocery stores in the villages.

Public Transportation

Suldal offers a selection of local bus routes, as well as a fast boat service that operates several times a day between Sauda and Stavanger. The fast boat stops at various locations in Suldal. You can find more information and search for timetables on kolumbus.no.

Waste Disposal Stations

You can find waste disposal stations for motorhomes and caravans at XY Bergekrossen (Sand), Hålandsosen (Erfjord), and Mosvatnet parking lot (Gullingen).

Workshops

There are workshops available at Best Sand and Shell Garaneset in Sand, the municipality center.

Environmental Stations and Waste Management

There are specific waste management facilities associated with the cabin areas. IVAR is responsible for waste management in Suldal. You can find an overview of these facilities on their website.

They also have a recycling station located in Gåsavika in Sand, the municipality center. You can find more information and opening hours on their website.

Public Toilets

There are public toilets spread throughout our villages. Here is an overview:

  • Sand city center: Hydrokaien, Bekkjatorget, and Larvika
  • Nesflaten: The pier
  • Suldalsosen: Near the grocery stores
  • Erfjord: Hålandsosen, Habn
  • Jelsa: Jelsa pier
  • Ropeid Peninsula: Vatlandsvåg
  • National Scenic Route stops: Ostasteidn, Flesåna, and the "Waiting Room" at Ropeid
