Top trip to the Reinsnuten

Mountains
Hiking Demanding

Reinsnuten is the highest peak in the area around Mosvatnet (1144 m above sea level). The trip is demanding, but well worth it when you come up to a wonderful 360-degree view of the fjord and mountains.

One starts the tour at the car park close to the exit towards Gullingen Turistsenter. From here, take a tractor road towards Stavastølen before following signs towards the marked path up to Reinsstolen. A long uphill takes you to Bråtane where the path goes towards Bergjordsholet. Here the clearance starts, and the last kilometers before the peaks are really steep. The trip back down follows the same track as you came up.

Facts about the trip:

Time: 4 hours

Distance: 10 km

Category: Kravjande (red)

Highest point: 1144 m

Arrival: Drive Rv13 and turn off towards Gullingen.
