The ambition for "Drøs" is to create a meeting place for the various rhythms of the day and the year. They aim to establish a café that caters to different needs of different people, being flexible and multifunctional. Here, urban meets rural, offering something distinctly local yet fresh and innovative in a "suldølsk" (related to Suldal) way. "Drøs" is for both the youth and the local characters. It encompasses culture and office, coffee and baked goods, pizza and wine. They also provide event space rental and catering services.
On the second floor of the building, "Drøs" has set up its own coffee roastery with the goal of bringing barista coffee culture to the street by producing, storing, and distributing coffee. Furthermore, they also have a micro-bakery with artisanal baking, pastries, homemade pasta, and pizza.
"Drøs" is a transformation project aiming to be a significant driving force in the development of the town center and its destination. They believe that their concept should be a focal point for creative development, emphasizing environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Throughout the process, they have made active choices, including architectural and environmentally friendly interior solutions such as chairs made from coffee grounds, beer mash, ocean plastics, and recycled materials. They have also acquired "Minus" chairs from the local company Nuen, which have zero emissions.
