Passion for animals

Øyvind Hebnes and Mette Vatland run Storstova Gard, which is located on the Ropeid peninsula, surrounded by fjords in the far northwest of Suldal municipality. Here they keep cattle and 7,500 laying hens. The couple have a great passion for farming and ensuring good living conditions for the animals where they are close to all the processes.

Gardsutsal

Storstova Gard has its own farm shop close to the farm which is always open. In the shop, you can get everything you need from short-haul, local ingredients for weekdays, weekends and peak times. Here you can choose between eggs, flavored salt with vegetables and rowan berries and beef in the form of cuts, minced meat, hamburger, meatballs and more. Throughout the year you can also find various treasures such as pickled beetroot and jam, depending on what they offer that season.
